Dr. Donald Leopold, Distinguished Teaching Professor & Chair @
SUNY ESF:
Dr. Leopold earned forest ecology degrees (Ph.D. Purdue
University), and M.S.F. (University of Kentucky). Since joining the
faculty of what is now the Department of Environmental & Forest
Biology @ SUNY ESF in 1985 he has annually taught numerous
undergraduate and graduate courses in dendrology, plant
materials, freshwater wetland ecology and conservation and
restoration topics graduate seminars. Dr. Leopold was selected
Department Chair in 2006. He publishes in the areas of forest and
wetland ecology and conservation and native plants.
